Flies in Roof Space

Even at this time of year, I have flies in the roof space. As soon as I switch the light on they appear. Any tips for permanent solution please.
Is there an electronic answer ?

You need to remove their food source. Maybe you have some damage to part of the roof and birds, rodents etc. are able to get in? Or perhaps you or someone else has stored something there which they are feeding on?

yes a zapper that`s used in commercial kitchens.with a UV light
