I’ve got a little issue in my back garden. Before I set out Grid mesh with gravels, I want to fix the drainage issue.

I’m lifting the council slabs and levelling them towards the drainage. There’s no drainage there , just a square cover that leads to manhole.

Based on your opinion, what would the best solution to fix this once for all?
1. Shall I just swap the square drainage to a drainable one after adjusting the slabs towards it? I’m going to grind the concrete floor a bit to make sure the water is not going towards the flat.

2. Hire a builder and tidy up the mess. If that’s the case, would you explain the job so I have a better understanding of what needs to be done? It could be something I can manage myself. Would you suggest a drainage across my pathway?

Thank you

Yes I can dig. Would you send me a photo or a link of what you mean? Should it run across?
