My mates building a log cabin in his mums back garden (more like a field!) & he wants 2 or 3 floodlights on the ground shining up at the front of it. Cause I'm interested in lectrics he keeps asking me 'what do you reckon?'

Has anyone got any ideas?. Been looking on the TLC website but didnt really know which ones were right for the job.

For a warm glow, 70 watt sodiums (hps)

For a bright white light, 70 watt metal halide (hqi)

For a duller white/blue light, 80 watt high pressure mercury (mbf)

Lay a couple blocks on a concrete base, and fix the floods to this - use a slab to make it look a little prettier.

You can use HQI fittings with high temp coloured gels to provide colour.

70/80 watt are the smallest floods, they obviously go brighter.
