Hi,
I am planning to convert a garage into a living space. I am a total newbie but I would still like to give it a go and try to convert it myself.
The floor is currently concrete and needs to be raised to match the level of the rest of the house. Walls are blocks and ceiling is already plaster boarded.

My idea for the floor is to lay a moisture proof membrane, rigid foam insulation and then chipboards on top of it. This means that I will not be using any timber slabs.

Does the above sound about right?

Look forward to the correct advise.

Thanks in advance.
