Hi,
Converting my integral garage into a extra living room. The floor level is 90mm sloping to 130mm below the level of the rest of the house. Its a reinforced concrete slab. Building Inspector suggested lay a damp proof sheet followed by sand to level it out, followed by celotex/kingspan then chipboard floorboards glued at the edgeson top of the celotex to create a floating floor. What type of sand is reqd, sharp sand or dried out sand?? or would I be better off with a completely diffeernt method of raising the floor???
