Hi,

My structual engineer has specficied an end bearing support of 100mm on each of my floor joists. They will be supported using timber to timber joist hangers that are nailed to a timber nailer in a UC. All the timber to timber joist hangers i can find have a seat depth of less than 100mm. Are they manufactured with seats that deep or an i missing something?

Thanks
Adam

100mm is for a solid seatin, eg a brick pocket in a brick wall, not for hangers.
just go ahead an pin the joists to the hangers
