Floor prep sealer

Hi
Ripped up my old vinyl floor and now wishing to tile the bathroom.

I have tile backer boards ready to use

The surface is old screed. Bit uneven and dusty

Should I seal the floor before installing tile backer boards or should I self level it before using the boards?

Room is 4m2

Seal. Self leveling. Seal again.

On flooring it's always better to seal at ever stage.

Great. More than happy to do this. Thanks for advice. Don't supoose you know if acrylic based primer is OK? A good neighbour gave me some a couple of months ago manufactured Feb 2025.

I've yet to use a self a self leveller that says you've to seal it.
SBR the floor, pour leveller, then tile.
