I'm trying to decide on some heating controls. I've currently got Hive but will be adding underfloor heating to the extension and will be adding an extra zone to split upstairs and downstairs. So that will be three zones.
I could just buy two more hive units and that would work but hive don't allow for sensing the floor temp in my underfloor heating. My question is is do I need a floor probe? My understanding is that they are mainly used for electric ufh but in a wet system they do help protect floor coverings against excessive heat. I thought the heat would be limited by the TMV on the heating manifold.

?

They don't just protect the floor covering, they also protect the screed. You'd be better off ditching Hive and going for something like Heatmiser Neo instead

Does the Heatmiser system do a wireless stat with a floor probe?
I know that Wunda do one with an e-ink display (power saving) but would prefer to go with a more well known brand.

Sorry for jumping in but did you do the 3 zones it’s we are looking at underfloor heating with wunda with 2 different zones and rads upstairs and not sure whether to control all with wunda what did you go with thanks
