floor tiles...Can i use them on a wall???

I have purchased some tiles 500 x 330 size and i was told i could use them on a wall, have i been mislead or is there a way i can stick these up without using nails!!!!. thank you

does it say on the side off the boxes......
suitable for walls and floor...if not there should be a number on the side...1_5
 
You will be able to use them on a wall providing the wall can take their weight. To check you'll need to work out the weight of the tiles per m2. Check the weight of a tile and multiply it by 6, post that and the substrate you are fixing to (plastered wall, render, backer board, unskimmed plasterboard etc) and we can tell you.

One thing i can tell you with tiles that size is stay away from tubbed ready mix adhesive. use a quality cement based adhesive such as bal, granfix etc

marider - this is a diy forum - thats the whole point!

if he tells us the weight of the tiles and its not too high then its no different to putting wall tiles on.
