I want to lay some ceramic (or similar..yet to be decided) tiles on our kitchen floor, I am told that this is a problem on Ashpalt, and boards should be laid on the floor first, and tiles on top or we will have problems with the tiles lifting.
Is this info correct, is there any other way of laying tiles on Asphalt floors ?

I believe you can lay quary tiles on ashphalt using a bitumen based adhesive. Quite common up north, (I think).
