Hi all. My first post here so be gentle!

I'm looking to tile the kitchen diner and porch floor (porch already tiled but I plan to replace so it all matches)

I've lifted the carpet and there's chipboard underneath, although under that I assume there's concrete as the board feels absolutely solid. It feels and sounds like concrete if you jump up and down, so it's pretty solid.

The tiles in the porch are on the same flooring.

How do I lay tiles on this floor? I'm not concerned about give or flex in the floor as its really solid, but surely I can't just tile onto chipboard? I don't know if there's ply under the porch tiles, but given their height I'd assume not. They've been down for 13 yrs and there are no cracks in the grout.

Any advice would be appreciated!
