How much adhesive would it be recommended for floor tiles? I am planning to have large tiles, from 600x600 to 1200x1200 (not decided yet).
Reason I ask is two-fold.
First, I am looking at a small kitchen floor with 8-9mm floor tiles and about 2-3mm adhesive, for a total of 11-12mm over the screed. The tiles are 600x600mm. Is this very thin adhesive common?
Secondly, I need to tile downstairs, and the recently laid screed is +/-4mm. I presume the tiler would want to use at least 6-8mm of adhesive in order to go over the bumps?
