Just about to start laying some 600 square porcelain tiles onto concrete, starting at the back end of a kitchen/diner area where there are some 3m width oak folding doors. Question is, how should I lay the tiles here - should I leave a small gap and grout in between the tile and oak sill, or fill with silicone sealant, or just butt-up to the sill? What would you advise?

Silicone will be what you will need, this will also be used around the perimeter off the room as well, use one that's the same colour as your grout choice.
