Hi All,

I have a feature in my house that I want to highlight with some feature lighting (Photo Attached). My preferences for this are as follows:
- feature to run on the bottom sections of the glass frame.
- 12v or less (not 240v as I don't want 240v running through that area)
- Water resistant (not proof)
- Shallow body (not too high) as I don't want to cut too deep into the wooden frame.

Does anyone have ideas of what to use? This is what I have found so far:
- LED strips seem to be an option, but will they be bright enough?Imagine I could sink them into the frame and cover with clear silicon to protect them a bit.//media.diynot.com/215000_214973_73555_26858717_thumb.jpg

- LED uplights seem like another option but they seem expensive for what they are?

All advice appreciated.

I take it that is plain glazing in a wooden frame ?

I can't help thinking that LEDs along the bottom will dazzle anyone looking in that direction, and probably won't really show up that well by the time you're half way up. Also, unless you find some very narrow beam stuff, the light will spread out and illuminate the ceiling several feet either side.

I think you;re going to have to experiment. But I think you'll find that the higher rating LED strips are "quite bright".
