Flue hatch in ceiling, fire rated or not?

Hi,

Loft conversion has taken place in a single storey bungalow, the down lighters in kitchen needed to be swapped to fire rated, does the hatch in the ceiling have the same requirements for access to the flue? It currently passes through the ceiling into the void above, then turns 90 degrees and exits through a gable end.

You still need to have an inspection hatch; whether it needs to be fire rated is something you'll need to ask your building inspector
