Flue inspection hatch

I have a property <10 yrs old where flue pipe is behind the wall (living room) from kitchen --> living room then out in the garden.

Contacted NHBC, they are saying they do not cover putting up inspection latches. Does anyone know how much does it cost

Are NHBC right in declining that cover?

I think the NHBC only have to o back two or three years.

Cost depends - hatches aren't that expensive but you might need a few of them.

hmm...just painted my living room wall as feature wall...won't be a nice feature...

any suggestions how much this can cost? living room is around 3 meters long. Are there any good looking hatches which may make it look less out of place?

alternatively I was planning to move the flue pipe to external wall in the kitchen. which may be more aesthetic but will cost more. any idea what that cost will be?
