Hi,

Hoping someone who has experienced flue less gas fire places can shed a bit of light for me please.

Are there any pro's and con's? Ive been in a house which has one of these fire places and just above it on the wall, cracks have appeared. Looks like the plaster/cement which is cracked. No sign of anything on the external wall, just the internal one. Also in the room directly up from lounge, the crack has seemed to carry on. Once again no external cracks, just internal.

Can anyone shed some light?

No vent means that all the moisture that normally goes out thru vent/chimney will be deposited in room, and they need carefull monitoring or can be dangerous, a friend became sick after the flueless gas fire they had developed a fault. They did not notice that the flame had gone from a healthy blue to orange indicating a lack of oxygen.
If you do fit then a carbon monoxide sensor is a must.
