Have a 8kw multi fuel burner with 5" outlet to flue. Require a twin wall flexi liner at 6 ", I am told by my chimney sweep, due to burning wood.. However, I may have a problem fitting that size liner down the brick flue. Is this a minimum requirement?
Can someone please advise.
Many thanks.

Unfortunately yes; your sweeps advice is very sound if you want to comply with Building Regs & get it certified as such & you need to get it certified as compliant. What's the problem with a 6" liner, has the flue been ball tested?
