hi all

i have a vokera combi gas boiler

i have 2 problems at a guess related

1 the flue light will come on and can take 4 day or more before can get hot water again

2 the thermostat button pops out and have to reset it

i am tempted to buy a new condesing boiler but is it worth forking out a few hundred to guess this sorted
as with credit crunch would be better for time being

hows your system pressure, should be about 1 - 1.5 bar

the flue light problem will almost certainly be a dirty fan.

has it been serviced at all? i would suggest its due one.

Have you tested the up draft to make sure your not getting spillage?

Use a CO detector to make sure no back draft is causing the flue problem

sounds like your flue has corroded internally. u can do a visual on the flame pitch if its bouncing then it will be the flue, so get someone in that can inspect the flue. will have an effect the water unless you have an excell or flowmatic with a diapragham/split.

Sounds to me that the HW plate HE could be blocked as well, causing the overheat to trip.

What exact model Vokera is it?
