Can anyone advise wether there are different size flush cones.

Im in the process of installing a new high level cistern with nice shiny flush pipe, but the pipe is slightly smaller than the plastic ones and the cone is loose and hence leaks :(

Not that I'm aware of. Get a rubber flush cone, they tend not to leak as much as the plastic ones. The chrome pipe will fit snug in there.

Thanks for the suggestions, think I will take it to the merchants 2morrow and see what they have.

Make sure the flush pipe is entering nice and square, that can also make a difference to a slight leak.

The one shown in the link above is normally a good one. You shouldn't have to muck about with all that silicone malarky, it looks messy. Especially round a chrome pipe.

Good luck.

When I say silicone, I don't mean fit the flush pipe and silicone around it.

I mean a smear of silicone on the inside of the flush cone and insert the flush pipe.

No silicone will be visible.
