Hi all, I've added a deck at the bottom of the garden - it is flush with the turf (I dug out earth to a depth of 40mm ) and looks alright, maybe even worth all the back breaking work LOL!
Anyways, my question is this... I have used 2 coats of No-nonsense decking oil, looks okay and rainwater does bead on the surface, but I need to make this deck extra repellent. If I add another 2 or so loads of oil, will it make the deck extra waterproof - or am I wasting time and money with lots of extra layers? Thanks

It won't increase immediate water repellant ability.

I would suggest doing more coats in the future as part of the redecoration regime....say one in September, then one in spring
