Hi all - First post here on the forum!

I recently had a new bathroom installed and a new downstairs cloakroom toilet installed.

The main bathroom was fitted with an unbranded 'Back to Wall' toilet with a vanity unit such as this:

Problem is the flush is terrible and doesn't do the job its supposed to!! So much water is being wasted by having to repeat the flushing.

The downstairs cloakroom was fitted with a RAK compact close coupled unit which I am very happy with. It looks like this:

The question is if I was to replace just the the BTW pan in the main bathroom with a RAK compact BTW version which I can purchase, will it make any difference to the the effectiveness of the 'flushing' of the toilet at all? Does the pan design contribute to the effectiveness of the flushing??

The pan has everything to do with effectiveness!

Just use the one downstairs for anything difficult.

I assume the installer set the levels correctly.

Thanks for the replies!

Trying to save the environment.. eating more curry may have an opposite effect!!

yes, checked the levels in the cistern... all OK. Must just be how the water flows from the pan. I was just worried that i would need to change the concealed cistern too?
