Has anyone noticed this flush valves spray water up to the cistern lid when flushed?

No. It is basically a flapper at the bottom so how can it spray water upwards, might be the fill valve spraying water though.

Some of them, when they close, do send a surge of water upwards. Its the residual water in the valve which hasn't gone into the bowl. Not much you can do about it except try and divert it so it stays in the cistern.

Thanks I wonderd if was anything that can be done. Just noticed it on the wirquin flush valves. As long ad the lids tightly on you would nere know. Just wonderd if was a design flaw or not.
