Am I correct in assuming that if I have a new gas boiler fitted, it's mandatary that the installer flushes out the system before fitting the boiler?

On a system around 15 years old what's the chance of the radiators spring leaks after all the sludge has gone?

no its not manatary ,but all the manafacturers say they want it doing .and if system fails water sample test they will not cover u/gtee. a 15 year old system should not leak when flushed

not essential but better practice if flushed.

Manufactures like to see you make an effort to clean a system. That may just be some sentinel sludge remover running round for a few weeks and flushed out.

listen to soggy

if it leaks after the flush it was only wainting to happen anyway.
