Foam Draught excluder on UPVC removal

For some reason the previous owner used foam excluder around one of his upvc windows. If I take it off what’s the best way to get rid of the residue without damaging the upvc?

I the intend renewing the original seal if it’s draughty.

If its white pvc then upvc solvent cleaner, if its foiled woodgrain then don't use any chemicals just patience
