Hi everyone,

Our boiler is directly under our bedroom, the main heating feed and return pipes run directly where our bed is.

This can make things very hot for all the wrong reasons.

Would taping a thin layer of insulation foil on top of the floor (under the carpet underlay) help block rising heat?

For example;

Sadly it's not viable for us to easily access the pipes themselves to insulate them without the wife going mental...!

Cheers,

It maybe crinkly under the carpet, not the best if you have to make it to the loo in the middle of the night! :)
