Football Horn Tap!!

Hi, wonder if anyone can help.... when my hot tap in the kitchen begins to run hot it makes this awful loud and i do mean loud football horn sound....
Have tried many things...anyone have any tips to try....

Well, if you've already tried replacing the washer and tightening the gland, I'd try a new tap. You've made sure the supply pipes are firmly clamped to the wall, haven't you?
