Hi

I am planning on building a small single story extention to my bungalow.

The existing footing is 1400mm to the top if it 1700mm in total,my house is on a small slope.

Will i HAVE to dig to the same depth of existing footage.

The ground is heavy clayey very stable and extremely difficult to dig in with no access for a machine.

Also may depend on trees in the direction your digging, ie if your getting closer to the trees you may need to go even deeper..
