Ford Fiesta 2003 1.2 Battery Warning Light Stays On

Hi,

The battery warning light comes on and stays on once the car is warm.

Had a diagnostic by a ford dealer, they said it required a new battery and alternator and quoted £500???

I have fitted a new battery and alternator, thought the fault was cleared but came on again once engine was warm, so I now a bit stuck.. Any help would be appreciated.

Connect a voltmeter across the battery with the engine running, it should read just over 14 volts, if it does its charging OK.
