Hi, i have a Ford Fiesta 1.8 diesel 1993. The fuel primer pump was found to be faulty so i put a non return valve on! The glow plugs are working but i cannot seem to start it up! I have tried bump starting it but still no joy! If anyone could help it would be much appreciated!
Thanks

Follow the fuel supply pipe from the priming pump and filter to the fuel injection pump on the engine.
Look for an 8mm bleed nipple on the banjo union, slacken it and pump fuel through until it is air bubble free.
A length of polythene tubing is handy here to stop the fuel going everywhere.

Is it the type with the primer built into the filter housing ? if it is and you've not replaced it, just added a non return valve (where ?) it could be sucking in air from the faulty primer
