FORD FOCUS 1.8 DIESEL (02)

Can anyone suggest why the rubber hose on the turbo inlet would keep blowing off. Pipe situated behind engine. Has happened twice now in space of 6 weeks. The jubilee clip had come off the first time and this was put back and tightened but it has happened again this morning. Any ideas?

if i remember right there was a ford TSB (technical service bulletin) on this fault. replacement of hose and clip rings a bell. unfortunately no longer at ford but i will try and see if i can dig up a TSB number for you. is the car still under 3-yr warranty? if it is ford may contribute under the goodwill scheme.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately the 3 year warranty expired in March

Looks like it could be the wastegate gone on the turbo. Anyone know if this is a big job/cost etc.......
