When i am driving you can hear like a pump/motor running noise and when you press brake pedal down the pedal judders and then the brakes work fine.
Then its fine for a little time, then itkeeps on reacuring

Can any one shed any light on problem

Its probably a wheel speed sensor playing up. Check the connections to them, pull apart and wd-40 them to make sure water hasnt got in.
If that doesn't sort it, then may be air in the system

Had the same thing on mine usually happend above 40 mph after applying the break turned out it was a knackered rhine (i think thats how they spelt it) whatever that is on the rear nearside hub.
