I recently bought a Ford Focus 56 plate which has a growling noise coming from the front wheels when braking.
I took it back to the dealer who inspected and cleaned the front brakes and as the noise still persisted they informed me that this is normal on Ford Focus'.
Can any Ford experts out there verify this or advise me as to the possible cause?
Thanks.

What sort of growling noise is it?
A small Jack Russel, or a large polar bear?

I wouldn't be fobbed off with the 'they're all like that' response. You could be getting that noise as a result of worn front wheel bearings.

Make them sort it out, or ask for your money back.
