Hi ,my little Ford KA engine keeps stopping when I stop at a junction or something, It only does it when I come off the power as I approach and let the engine slow me down, when i stop so does the engine ,she then starts straight away and will tickover ok, she is fine any other time and will drive normally hope you can help thanxx emm :)

Its your idle control valve about 40 quid from the main dealers if i remember right. Takes about 5 minutes to change as well.

You can also clean the idle control valve with carb cleaner.

The ICV is the most common cause of this but there could be other things such as bad HT leads, bad plugs, coil pack, throttle position sensor etc.
