I've a Mk1 (2001) Ka and am told the rear subframe bushes (both sides) need replacing. Has anyone out there done this ? What sort of job is it for a normal DIY person ? Any special tools needed ?
All advice gratefully received.
Thanks

They can be done on the car but ford say drop the rear beam ( same as Fiesta)
It can be a DIY job. I,ve done the Fiesta same set up one side at a time. But you will need a tool to install the bush ( also to make removal easier but an animal could cut it out lol) The bushes are a tight fit.
Axel stands and standard tool kit is all that is needed on top of the tool
I brought the bushes for £15 and made the tool but I have aces to a lathe to make them the tools are about £55. which you could keep or resell on
