Passed mot but warned these bushes need replacing both sides, cannot identify them though on parts web sites, do they go by another name?
link to a pic of one would be nice as I don't want to buy wrong bushes.
Are they a diy job? any special tool needed [still have old bush extractor from old cortina that may be useful]

Hope this link helps. Difficult enough job, just be careful and use axle stands if you haven't go a pit/car hoist to support the car. Take the bottom wishbone off and cut the old bush out of the wishbone using a hacksaw. Make the cuts 3-4mm apart and the small piece should fall out. then the remainder of the bush will just tap out with a hammer. give yourself plenty of time as the bottom ball joint has also to be loosened as its also on the wishbone.
Can take me the best part of an hour just to cut the old bush out as the hacksaw gets it hard to cut through the rubber in the old bush.

The new bush needs to be pressed in using a good bench vice or a hydraulic press.

Just been suggested I change the wishbones complete and they are on ebay from around £30 the pair. :)

Sounds like a plan to me.

Be careful the guy I work with said, the passenger side is very hard to get out compared to the drivers side, something to do with the gearbox.
