dont suppose any one knows of an easy way to transpose formulas - can work out most examples no bother but when it comes to transposing the formula i get stuck everytime and am struggling

Can't really see what you're asking

But just remember you add, subtract, multiply and divide each side of the equation by the same quantity

do it for each step individually and write down what the operation was.

don't try and jump two steps at once

here's an example

y = mx + C

subtract C

y - C = mx

divide by m

(y - C)/m = x

x = (y - C)/m

Two simple rules which might help and speed things up a bit.

You can move an item to the other side of the equals if you change its sign (+ve to -ve and -ve to +ve)

x - 2y = 7 is the same as x = 2y + 7

Also, if you have divisions, you can move items across the equals if you invert it (change top to bottom and vice-versa)

3x/7 = 9 is the same as 3x = 9 * 7

And it's formulae!
