Forum is breaking URLs

Can anything be done about this? Here's an example.

This is the URL for a Google search:

http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&safe=off&q=here+is+a+search&btnG=Search&meta=

So is this.

Hmmm - at the time I posted (and the reason I posted) those links, despite looking correct on the page, had each "&" changed to "&amp" when clicked, i.e. they became http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&ampsafe=off&ampq=here+is+a+search&ampbtnG=Search&ampmeta= which did not work....

But it's not doing that now...
