I'm a relative newbie on this forum, so I hope you won't mind my asking for some advice.

We have an inspection cover on a foul drain outside our back door which has become loose due to frost damage to the supporting bricks. There is also some damage to the plaster? lining of the chamber.
If it wasn't for the latter damage, I would tackle it myself, but I was wondering what a fair price for a job like that would be?
Many thanks.

when you say plaster lining are you referring to the cement haunching or some kind of pargeting to the chamber walls?

the haunching can be repaired with a strong, rinsed sand and cement mortar.

if it is some kind of render to the walls then i would not bother.

the spalled bricks can be removed and new ones re-laid.

prices may start at £160.00 ish?

Thanks for the replies. I guess it would be the cement haunching which is flaking off the vertical sides of the chamber.

And, yes, I knew it would be a **** job!
