I have a four year old fridge/freezer that's working fine but there's rust on one side near the bottom. Not just spots but obvious corrosion and lost metal. Does this have any significance beyond the cosmetic aspect? There doesn't appear to be anything leaking and I think it's just where some steps have scratched it and perhaps water from hanging hand towels has got to it.
Just wondering if I have to start looking for a new freezer or if I can just ignore it for a few more years.
