FP720 timer - battery backup?

I have had a Danfoss FP720 two channel timer fitted recently, and it loses it's time (but not schedule) whenever it loses power, and then displays U15. Internet search suggests it does have battery backup, but nothing about a user replaceable battery.

Faulty unit, or am I missing something?
