Hello, hope someone can help.
We have put a new filter cartridge in our Franke Triflow tap system. Darned cartridge housing will not stop leaking around the join between the base and the lid. Never had this problem before. We have tightened it, loosened it, left it to see if it would stop of its own accord, washed it out, cleaned it, PTFE'd it and threatened it. All to no avail. I see that the cartridge housing has been changed from the plastic one we have to a stainless steel model. Is this because the older plastic ones do eventually leak like ours and would we be best advised to bite the bullet and shell out £95 (!) on a replacement stainless steel housing ? Or does anyone have any suggestions on how to seal ours effectively ?
We really do want to get the tap working properly again as the water here tastes horrible.
Thank you.
