Freeze kits

I want to fit a magnetic filter on a system i have just refilled with 2 inhibitors.

So i would prefer not to drain down again.

Has anyone used the freeze kits. Tool station sell them for a tenner approx.

If i could freeze the return and cut the pipe it would be great.

Best of luck with cheap freezer kits on 22mm.Some inhibitors lower the freezing point of water.

buy 5 of them and take the ones you don't use back afterwards.....

i know it's a bit different, but i had an unisolatable ancient alkathene main that i froze once and to cut a long story short, i ran out of gas and the water was starting to flow by the time i got it sorted....... 'that'll teach me check i have parts that'll fit before i cut the pipe' i thought as i raced up the local merchants.

the moral. sh1t happens, so be prepared for the worst.

or shut down all the rads to keep the system partly full and just drain the pipework - maybe you can get away with just one new inhibitor?
