replacing radiator......pipe freezing kits

Used a pipe freezing kit for the first time today

followed instructions,15cm from area to be worked on,tie wraps on ends of jacket and used whole can of spray and allowed 5 mins as per instructions,the results were.........disappointing ,drained the system in the end as the water was still flowing,I assume there may have been something in the water?

You views on freezing kits please and other advice on rad pipework alteration without having to drain down the system

can pipe freezes are waste of time i always use electric no worry about time left on the freeze.

bung the system and work on the pipework.
