Hi I have a problem with my freezer, it starts up and then after 3 to 4 seconds cuts out for about one minute then repeats this, the green light stays on all the time but the inside doesn't get cold, could it be the thermostat?? its probably 20 years old other than this prob it is in nice condition so was wondering if its worth repairing if i can find the fault.

Hi sounds like the compressor has seized and is tripping the TOC, chances are it will be R12 gas which is illegal to work on now, only real thing to do is buy a new one,
