I've managed to source a set of french doors which are 207cm high. That's the measurement of the frame and without a sill.
My challenge now is that, to keep within the 2.5m permitted development my front wall can be a maximum of 220cm. This allows me to get 2 5x2's (bolted together) above the door to get to the 220cm. This gives me a few mm for adjustment of the door. My roof will be extending 0.5m above this door.
Is it an issue to have this door fitted without a sill and will the 2 5x2s handle the door opening and weight of the 5x2 rafters and the rubber roof?
I'd appreciate any thoughts on this.
