My french doors are fitted with Yale cylinder locks, both sharing the same key.

I am now finding that I can only unlock the left door from the outside. And can only lock it also from the outside.

Attempting from the inside, I am finding that the key wont turn, hence wont lock/unlock.

I have always been able to lock/unlock this door from either inside or outside.

What has caused this problem ?

yep... looks like that's the only solution.

Waiting for the fitter to take a look - Doors are only 10 months old, and hardley been opened.

Was just curious why the Lock would only oprate from the outside.

Check all keys.
Is the key an original key or a copy?
Does the key go all the way in?
is there a makers name on the key?

Locking bolt may have been omitted or loose leaving the barrel to move slightly? If you tap the end of the barrel will it move in or out, only a mm out and it will jam from one side or both.
