We've been to La Rochelle and Île de Ré on a previous road trip but Bordeaux is on our wish list.

And even though it was built specifically so you no longer had to, leave the A75 before it and go down through Millau, as the best way to get a view of it is to not be on it.

I had an excursion booked for when we stopped in Monaco which was to take me round the street circuit in a Ferrari - obviously not at any great pace!

I bet it would have involved through the tunnel in first gear, windows down...
