Fresh plaster advice?

Hi I'm having some plastering done on a few rooms in my house.

The plasterer is doing a good job as far as I can tell. I noticed though a few marks on the freshly skimmed room and wanted to know if it is anything to be concerned about, do I need to ask for anything to do done, or is it something I need to do myself, or perhaps just the way it is drying etc? Once it is painted will I be able to notice?

This is the general finish:

and one of the walls:

and a bit closer

I ran my finger over the areas and mostly they felt smooth, so perhaps just a couple of coats of paint later they will all be invisible?!

Would like some opinions, and also is it normal to be able to see the metal strip on the corner on this one, i'd guess it is because the plaster on the metal is drying at a different rate for example but not sure:

Cheers!

Might have a few areas that need a wipe with 120 grade and maybe a little toupret filler in any dings or nicks.
I think they say 7 defects per room max when skimned. Think I had a few more that that most of the time if I'm honest.

Skimming over existing walls can cause a few patches and some areas that have a different colour. Tend not to get that on plasterboard.

I think it's still drying by looks of it

Yeah it is definitely still drying. 120 grade means fine sandpaper right?

7 defects per room? Is that what the plasterer is allowed for the job to be acceptable hahaha.

I think he's doing a good job anyway but I just wondered why these patches looked so weird and whether I needed to do anything before painting to make sure I don't see those marks after painting!

120 grade sandpaper yeah.

This was a thick artex ceiling I skimmed.
A bit patchy. Just how it is.

yours looks a bit patchy in terms of how it is dried but not as bad as mine, mine isn't an issue with drying I think, not sure but it looks different compared to what you posted. Lovely finish you've got there.

1) do you normally do 2 coats? I don't know if my plasterer did 2 coats to be fair,.

2) Look at my 3rd and 4th photo it almost looks gritty and a different texture, not just drying a different colour, also the edges (where the two walls meet or wall/ceiling meet) don't look as clean as yours maybe? Can i sand the edges to make then join nicely? Could be that my walls are just all over the place as the house is approaching 100 years old I'd guess

3) Also can you see the metal strip in my last photo on the left, will that be visible after painting do you think?

cheers pal

2) sanding plaster is hard work; it's really not designed for it. The alternative method on board, tape and fill, uses a different product that's easy to sand (needs to be). It'll take you a looong time to sand multi finish down

Its gritty and a different texture probably because it's gone a bit thin there. See how it is when dry, maybe whack over it with a fine filler if you don't like the finish. Or just paint it and move on with life; only you can know if you're the kind of person who will get annoyed by some slight blemish every time you walk in the room

3) No
