Friction hinge stack height

I need to replace the hinges on a small window at the top of my bay window. I know there are 2 stack heights they could be, but is there any way of knowing what it would be without taking them off? With it being a small window are they likely to be 13mm or is 17mm a possibility? As I need to order them in it would be a hassle to take them off, only to have to put them back on again whilst awaiting delivery.

Theres no real way without taking them off really but if you could then open the window right out, unscrew 1 hinge from the frame but still leaving it attatched to the sash, close the hinge as though it was still screwed to the frame and from underneath look upwards and measure with a tape.
